Peep This... This is messed up

The pic speaks for itself. I bet the guy who is holding it is a bit of a smart ass. We could be drinking buddies.

Peep This... N.E.R.D. - Everyone Nose

Whoever is in charge of the PR for N.E.R.D. is doing a fabulous job because it seems like this song is all over the net with all kinds of footage. Here is the official video. Peep.

Peep This... N.E.R.D. Everyone Nose (Live On Letterman)

The title says it all. Only thing odd is that Chad is not there. Oh well... Peep.

Peep This... Lifehacker.com

This site is definitely one you have to keep up with on the regular because if you don't you could miss out on soooooo much. The site ( http://www.lifehacker.com/ ) offers a dizzying amount of info spread over various topics, mostly centering around the tech enthusiast. Articles showing men how to slim their wallets down using their cell phone, the top 5 picks for the best DVD ripping software and easy DIY tech tutorials are the reason this site won a Weblog award for Best Computer or Technology Weblog back in March (Congrats!). Check out the site even if you are not all that interested in tech because you might find a article from another blog that might interest you. Like this one from Smarterfitter.com (http://lifehacker.com/389604/eat-healthy-with-grocery-list-templates ) that offers complete grocery store lists for a healthier eating lifestyle. Peep.

Peep This... Google Friend Connect

Google is now allowing people to create their own social network ( i.e. Myspace, Facebook, Blackplanet) by adding social networking capability to an existing site. I think the possibilities of this function have astounding potential for people who prefer not to be bothered with Myspace. Plus it's open ended so people who know how to write html code can come up with their own custom options to make their social network one of a kind or allow other users to use it. Peep (be warned that the guy explaining this is not all that energetic).

Late Pass... The Rick Roll

It just happened to me this morning. I'm about tired of this and it's starting to get annoying. Anyway, for those that do not know what this phenomena is, I'll let Wikipedia explain.

"Rickroll
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rickrolling is a prank and Internet meme involving the music video for the 1987 Rick Astley song "Never Gonna Give You Up" written and produced by Mike Stock, Matt Aitken, and Pete Waterman known as Stock Aitken Waterman. The meme is a classic bait and switch: a person provides a link they claim is relevant to the topic at hand, but the link actually takes the user to the Astley video. The URL can be masked or obfuscated in some manner so that the user cannot determine the true source of the link without clicking (and thus satisfying their curiosity). By extension, it can also mean playing the song loudly in public in order to be disruptive.[1] A person who falls for the prank is said to have been "Rickrolled".
The practice began as a variant of an earlier prank originating from the imageboard 4chan called duckrolling,[2] in which a link to a popular celebrity or news item would instead lead to a photoshopped picture of a duck with wheels. The first instance occurred on the site, where a link to the Rick Astley video was claimed to be a mirror of the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV (which was unavailable due to heavy traffic). [3][1]
By May 2007,[4] the practice had become widespread, and it eventually began to garner some coverage in the mainstream media.[5][6][1] An April 2008 poll by SurveyUSA estimated that at least 18 million American adults have been rickrolled.[7] Partly fueled by the Rickroll phenomenon, Astley's former record company RCA Records is now planning to release a Greatest Hits album.[3]"

Enough already!!!!!!!
Here is the vid that got me this morning (I should have been paying attention to the name of the channel before I clicked it).... Peep!

Peep This... Jermaine Dupri Going Off On Billboard Magazine

He's got a point but, isn't there something more important to be making vids about?

Peep This... My Father In Law

Earlier today, my Father In Law overheard my wife telling her brother about my blog. To which he stated "You got a blog? Well how come you didn't tell me? You should blog me some time."

And here it is!

Happy Berfday Tiff!

Peep This... TokyoFlash Japan

This is strictly for you weirdo types (What Up Mau?!?!?) who like being different for the sake of being different or you are really into making fashion statements with your watches (What Up Mau?!?!?). If this sounds like you then hop on over to Tokyoflash Japan. This site sells nothing but watches. But not just any kind of watches. Each watch is different than the other in the design and the way it tells time. Most of the watches have no numbers and tell time by the placement of LED's on the face. Each of them comes with instructions on how to read them but if you really want to get your brain cranking then take a look at the pics and try to figure it out. Peep.

Peep this... Laser Graffiti

I saw this vid last year and I am constantly looking for something to top it but, I can't. The title speaks for itself so check out this guys vandalize entire buildings with laser graffiti. Peep.

Peep This... Gears Of War 2 footage!

Oh it's almost too good to be true! New footage has been released recently of the second installment of Gears Of War. Now I got in on Gears Of War suuuper late, but once I did get on... I was hooked! I finished the game and now I only get on to play online but I am so amped to see this. It looks like they have revamped quite a few things. Most notably the ability to pick up downed Locust and use them as shields instead of letting them bleed out. There is also a change to the melee attack with the Lancer and the addition of some further control scheme involved in slashing Locust in half. The game play looks awesome and even if you are not a video game fan or a Gears Of War fan you cannot look at this and not be impressed. Peep.

Gears of War 2 Xbox 360 - Gameplay Reveal Trailer

Add'em - Adele

I'm listening to this girls music right now after I caught her video for "Cold Shoulder" on VH1. That song almost made me pass on her because the song wreaks of Amy Whinehouse. The only difference was the production. The drums were similar but the arrangement sounded nothing like Mark Ronson. She damn near sings the song in the same tone as Amy. So of course I'm thinking that the UK is going to start squirting out Amy Whinehouse clones.
Wrong.... Wrong! (c) Charlie Murphy. Turns out that this girls talent is actually legit. She has a ton of songs on Youtube and a really strong following. Songs like "Hometown Glory", "First Love" and "Last Night" really showcase the full and soulful voice that she has. Her songs are really well written and it seems like they are produced and arranged to showcase the subtle power that she has in her voice. Which is the same thing that Amy has going for her music. The similarity may be that the two are linked to the same school of performing arts. The similarities in each others music might hinder her appeal at first but if you stick with Adele long enough you can hear that they don't out weigh the differences. Check her out...

Peep This...Teriyaki Boyz - Zock On! feat Busta Rhymes and Pharrell

This song is a couple of months old but I had to bring it to you since we are in such a Pharrell-esque mood today. If you ain't knowing the Teriyaki Boyz are a hip hop group out of Japan that have been around for a couple of years. The most intersting thing about them is that their Dj is Nigo of Bathing Ape fame. So that explains all the Bape. Now the group already has an album out under Def Jam called "Beef Or Chicken" that came out in 2oo6 and they had two songs called CHO large & Tokyo Drift (Fast & The Furious ) on The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift soundtrack. I think Pharrel produced one but it was kinda ... meh.

This new song "Zock On!" is kinda dope. Pharrell definitely stepped it up on the production end and putting Busta on first works since the rest of the song is pretty much in Japanese. Even though you can't understand what they are saying the flow is still there. Peep

Listen Up... N.E.R.D. - Everyone Nose (Remix) feat CRS & Pusha T (of The Clipse)

+

I just mentioned this song either yesterday or the day before. This morning I wake up and find a remix for it so the timing couldn't be better. If there is anyone who is confused by the pics above, let me explain.

The group CRS is actually Pharrel Williams, Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco. They have one song together that I have heard and seen an actual video for called "Us Placers" and it features Thom Yorke. I kinda passed over it because I thought a track with the 3 of them on it was going to have all kinds of crazy energy, but it didn't. It was really mellow and I was a little disappointed. The song is still dope though, just not what I expected.

Now Pusha T is one half of the brotherly duo of The Clipse. These guys are connected to Pharrel and are constantly championed by him. He actually refused to provide any production for label mate Justin Timberlakes second album FutureSexLoveSounds because Jive (which absorbed their original home Arista in 2003) was dicking them around for about 4 years. Even though label drama kept them from releasing an official follow up to their 2002 release of Lord Willin, they still put out enough quality material through mixtapes, leaks and guest spots to keep their buzz going. The Clipse are definitely a group that needs to be in heavy rotation.

Now back to reason I started this post. This remix is dope and is a pretty smart move on N.E.R.D.'s part. Even though the original version of this song has tons of energy, this version will get more attention in the club from the hip hop heads who usually don't listen to the rock genre that N.E.R.D.'s music usually falls into. Now Lupe is not on this version that I have. I don't know if it's because he will not be on the official release or because he had not recorded a verse for it yet. Anyway, listen up... and enjoy

Listen Up... J Dilla - No One Knows

Those of you who know me and my musical tastes well enough know how much I love and respect this mans body of work and his outlook on life. Words cannot describe how much his music has steered the direction of my life just by being present during landmark moments in my maturation. Whats so crazy about that is that I did not even know who he was while all those things where happening. My first born was named in his memory and if you are a lover of music (especially hip hop) and do not know who he is then you HAVE to do your research. If not at least enjoy the latest from his upcoming release "Pay Jay" called No One Knows. Produced by Supa Dave West (De La heads know whats up).

WTF...Tight Pants - Ninjasonik

I hope this is a joke and if it's not, I hope somebody else added the 106 & Park logo in the corner and if not, boo BET.

Peep This... Kanye's Blog

I got hipped to Kanye's blog by someone over at http://www.okayplayer.com/ and his most recent temper tantrum with "Entertainment Weekly" (for giving his concert a B+) reminded me that it needs to be on my blog. As far as blogs go, this one is top notch. It's basically Kanye listing his favorite things. From architecture, fashion, music and even Youtube clips. Peep this one.

"Boemerang":

If you are going to start blogging then this is the blog to beat. One of the most versatile and interesting I have come across so far.

*****Note: http://www.kanyeuniversecity.com/ is not just Kanye's blog. It's also his fan site where you can purchase merchandise, view photos and videos, and look up his tour dates.****

Late Pass... Oh You Mad Cuz I'm Stylin On You?

On today's edition of late pass we are bringing the infamous "Oh You Mad Cuz I'm Stylin On You?" clip. Now this is not the first time that a rap battle gone bad has been put on the Internet, but the comedic timing of the punch and the way ol boy's fitted spun around in the air suspended where the wearer of said hat previously was is comedy. So the next time you hear "Oh You Mad Cuz I'm Stylin On You?" this is where it originated from. Peep

Add 'em... Ryan Leslie

I found out about Ryan Leslie back in June of 2007 when I stumbled across a video of his on Youtube. The video is of him producing a song he had written for Cassie called "Sometimes". Not only was the song dope, but he was having sooooooo much fun producing it I was an instant fan. I look at him making that beat and it's inspiring. So you now I did some research and it turns out that this dude is a genius! He graduated from Harvard at 19! 19 years old?! Harvard?! Damn? What was I doing at 19? Anyway, he has a huge club following overseas and now he is back home to do the same. He is a bit of a dork but you cannot deny his talent. Peep down below.

Add Em... Georgia Anne Muldrow

I had heard this young ladies work before but I did not know her name or who she was until she was featured on Platinum Pied Pipers debut album "Triple P" back in 2005. I think I heard some where that she is the daughter of jazz artist Ronald Muldrow. If so, the the Jazz influence on her work is prevalent as she produces, rhymes, sings and writes on most of her songs in a way that leans toward the open song structure of jazz as opposed to the standard R&B/Hip Hop song structure. As will be the norm I added some Youtube clips for those of you who don't have a Myspace account. Peep

Listen Up... N.E.R.D. - Spazz

For those who are familiar with N.E.R.D. and their history know about their issues with Virgin Records and Pharells statement that the group had "expired". Then later releasing a statement through his manager saying that the group did not break up. That was back in 2004 after the release of their second album "Fly Or Die" and we have not heard much from them since then. But earlier this year a single popped up called "Everybody Nose". Since then they have been performing new material. This is their second single "Spazz".

Add'em... Stacy Epps

Stacy Epps - http://www.myspace.com/stacyepps

I don't know much about this young lady and to be honest I have only listened to one of her songs ("Floatin' " Check the vid down at the bottom) . But the song is sooo dope that I can't but help to gravitate to her music. Now I have been BURNED by artists who have that one fire song and I submerge myself into everything that they do because of that song, then after the fourth or fifth (Fiiiiiif (c) Tron) song I realize the one that got me hooked was a fluke. I tracked down some clips of her on Youtube but I have not listened to them yet (except "Floatin"). Get to know her with me and let me know what you think!

Did I mention ol girl can rhyme and reps Dilla!

Listen Up... Raheem Devaughn - Try Again

Raheem Devaughn is a very underrated artist who is not getting enough shine. He is a very, very, very talented young man with a sound that is a throwback to Motown soul. He just released a video for his second single "Try Again" which I am digging way more than his first "Customer". It subs like a mofo. Here is the official video for the song ...

... and footage of him performing the song live at S.O.B.'s in New York. Enjoy!

Peep This... Gnarls Barkley - "Going On"

Gnarls Barkley - "Going On"

I think this an official video for the second single of Gnarls Barkleys second album "The Odd Couple". The song is dope, but I'm not sure if this video carries it as well as there usual outlandish videos. It's cool, but I expect better from them as far as videos are concerned.

Late Pass... More Cowbell

On today's edition of Late Pass... we have a SNL skit from 2000 that Christopher Walken hosted. Now Christopher Walken is of those actors that makes me laugh when he is not tyring to be funny. I think it's his creepiness or that Fatboy Slim video he did, I don't know. Anyway keep an eye on Will Ferrell outside of the primary joke of needing more cowbell, Will acts a fool. And what send it over is that Jimmy Fallon is the only one who can really see the whole thing. So when it's time for his lines, he can barely hold it in. Which causes will to start giggling. I love it when that happens. So the the next time you hear the phrase "More Cowbell!" this is where it originated. Enjoy!

Peep This... Hellloooooooo? My face is up here! Stop staring at my chest!

If their is one thing that I have in common with the hipsters it's my love for clever t-shirts. So if any of you are looking for a gift for me, head on over to http://www.rumplo.com/ .

^^^^ "My First IPod" ^^^^

They have tons and tons of shirts that you won't be able to find in stores. But the best thing about the site is that they take submissions from anyone and allow users of the site to vote on which design is their favorite, and they put that design on sale. Cool site. Check it out and add it to your favorites so you can keep it fresh in your mind around September ***cough ***mybirthday***cough*** and December.

Peep This... What's on your wall?

For you artistic types (like my self) who are into putting their own spin on things, I bring to you http://www.myfotowall.com/ . This site allows you to send them an image and it converts it into wall paper for your home. They take your photo and can blow it up, up to 1600% with no loss in print quality. The only downfall of this is that the wallpaper begins to fade after 3 years. So at &70.00 per square meter it can get kinda pricey when it comes to the size of your wall versus the length of time that it's going to last. Still, it's pretty cool nonetheless.

Peep This... A horse of a different color

You guys remember that Dell commercial that shows all the laptops with the different colors that match their owners lifestyle? If not...

Well if you feel the need to be like one of these people to he nth degree then check out http://www.colorwarepc.com/ .

This site lets you take your game consoles, laptops, smart phones and even your HDTV and add your own colorful flair. You can customize the color/colors of all these things from a large palette of flat and/or metallic colors provided by the site. So you can take your laptop and take it from its standard color to Smoke White. Or make your Xbox 360 Hot Pink. The only problem with this site is that it only mods specific units. So you have to have the exact model that is listed in order to use the services. But if you have a Nintendo DS and it's time for a change, then this site is for you!

Peep This... Toshiba's ApriPoco Robot

Toshiba's ApriPoco Robot is a universal remote that attaches voice commands to remote control actions, thus making it a voice activated universal remote. Check it out...

Peep This... Can you hear me now?

This site is for those of you who cannot make a move without checking your Blackberry first or completely frustrated with the lack of customizability on your IPhone. The site is http://www.solsie.com/ and it provides updates, news and reviews on the latest in mobile technology. Like the PhoneMyPhone service. Which is a free site that allows you to have your cellphone called at a certain time. Which is helpful if you need to get out a meeting early or a bad date! There is also new of a new media player from Creative (This company is my choice as an alternative to the Ipod) that is about the size of a credit card, supports multiple music/video formats and has an SD card slot to add to the standard 4 gigs of memory. You can pick up a refurbished one directly from Creative for about $65.00.
Definiteley check out this site before you decide to buy a new phone or MP3 player.

Peep This... Are you a geek?

Well rather you are or aren't (or maybe just not aware that you are) I am sure will be able to find something cool and interesting at http://www.geekologie.com/ . This is the type of blog that keeps you up on a vast array of futuristic little nuggets of thing to com, like a possible stripper pole dancing game for the Nintendo Wii (I highly doubt it), a coat made of embryonic stem cells from a mouse (?) ...

and the worlds first automated restaurant.

Keep an eye out for this blog to impress your outdated friends or to make sure your not left out of the loop at your next Trekkie convention.

Peep This... Grand Theft Auto 4 : The Reason Your Being Neglected

To those of you who have been under a rock for the past 10 years and have no idea what the Grand Theft Auto Series is, read this first -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Theft_Auto_(series)#Grand_Theft_Auto

For those of you who are up on Grand Theft Auto, you definitely are aware of how awesome this game is so don't even bother reading further. Now I admit, I had no interest in this game until 2 days before the release. A game where you are rewarded for the certain type of criminal activity that this game entails is not my cup of tea, but the buzz for this game was ridiculous!!!! So after doing some research (Google and Youtube is the bizzzzness!) this game has so much to offer! I don't want to spoil the plot for you so I will not speak too much on the game but, the open sandbox format of this game allows you to do so much. Check out this video review of the game that gives you just enough to reel you in.

Did you miss me?

Sorry!. I have had a lot going on lately and I have been slaaaacking. Between shopping for a new house, my family and *COUGH*MarioKartGrandTheftAuto4*COUGH* I have been a little preoccupied. But I'm back with a vengance!!!! So lets begin!
