Add'em - Adele

I'm listening to this girls music right now after I caught her video for "Cold Shoulder" on VH1. That song almost made me pass on her because the song wreaks of Amy Whinehouse. The only difference was the production. The drums were similar but the arrangement sounded nothing like Mark Ronson. She damn near sings the song in the same tone as Amy. So of course I'm thinking that the UK is going to start squirting out Amy Whinehouse clones.
Wrong.... Wrong! (c) Charlie Murphy. Turns out that this girls talent is actually legit. She has a ton of songs on Youtube and a really strong following. Songs like "Hometown Glory", "First Love" and "Last Night" really showcase the full and soulful voice that she has. Her songs are really well written and it seems like they are produced and arranged to showcase the subtle power that she has in her voice. Which is the same thing that Amy has going for her music. The similarity may be that the two are linked to the same school of performing arts. The similarities in each others music might hinder her appeal at first but if you stick with Adele long enough you can hear that they don't out weigh the differences. Check her out...
