"If your room is treated properly, set up your room using the K-20, or K-14 as recommended in Bob Katz Mastering Book. You will get a more consistent level across all of your songs, and you should be able to match the loudness of other mixes but with more clarity as you will be mixing against RMS not Peak. You will "hear" that something is too loud, vs. looking at the meters (as peak meters do not measure loudness, but transients) ."
